That is really fascinating! I have to ask, do you sit and wait for something to occur or do you request (send out thoughts) or do you keep your eye looking up.

As I've said before I worked outside for almost twenty years during the night and I have never seen anything that I can not recognize as unidentified. The only thing that I've seen lots of are satellites.

Bob...............the Northern NSW and Souther Queensland coastal area is a hot spot for activity.  There is also a very special energy that you can feel as soon as you arrive there.  Have never felt it any where else.  This is the same area where I experienced time warps and many other strange events.

Hi Bob,
Everything Angela has mentioned about the area is correct.

I was only thinking the other night, am I a freak? lol why is it that some people can see UFO's (keeping in mind what UFO actually stands for), and others can go through life not seeing anything.

I have always spent time outdoors looking up to the sky even as a child, I would float on my back in our pool day and night searching and wondering what was passed earth's atmosphere. I still do spend alot of time outdoors, looking at the planets, stars, moon, how the sun disappears in the horizon, then watching the moon rise in the oppposite direction.

You begin to become familiar with satellite's and how they appear in the night sky.. though you still question what you’ve seen.

I always have my camera handy aswell. I enjoy taken photos of the moon. Each time she looks so different.

I’ve been rambling a bit here..

I remember hearing about that area - the eastern most point of Australia is part of a 'something' line. My memory is deserting me but there is a special word for the line - like the longitude and latitude lines it sits on. And there is something about Mt Warnng I have heard as well. I think it is the reason why the hippys (oops sorry if that offends anyone) flock to Byron Bay.

I've only seen Mt Warning from a distance I would love to get closer. PMSL about Bryon Bay.. Its not so much alternative lifestyle anymore, extremely expensive to live there. To be honest with you, I've seen nicer beaches in Sydney.

Going to read the ley lines thread now..

Are you serious Mel??  OMG.........you have to go to Mt Warning..........the place is Magic.  My friend lived next to Mt Warning and I spent a fair bit of time there.  Had some really amazing experiences.

Things that make you uh! We have our fair share here also, but never thought it would be one/an area.  We even have a town in Alberta called Vulcan (after the Star Trek show) which I also believe has had it share of recorded experiences. I guess I will have to check this out. I would love to see something up close and personal.

Mel:

Answering from the other thread about lights being seen with "UFOs". I truely call this a UFO. And there does not appear to be any becon lights just some kind of reflection along the whole body. Looking at the pics a second time gives a better sense of the mystery.

WOW!! LW, those are some of the best UFO pics I have EVER seen!  Your camera must be a very good one yes?

I was only thinking the other night, am I a freak? lol why is it that some people can see UFO's (keeping in mind what UFO actually stands for), and others can go through life not seeing anything.

I would like to attempt to answer this in a way that makes sense to me..

Why was it that Ted Bundy managed to abduct women in busy areas in broad daylight, without anyone seeing?

The visual perception process is largely an automatic process, there is a huge volume of visual, audio and sensory data flowing into the brian every micro-second, most of which is too much for the brain to process. The brain largely makes guesses and assumptions in order to process efficiently. That's why visual optical illusions work, because the brain sees what it expects to see.

It's only when things are so startling different to what the brain expects, that it literally jolts our consciousness, and all of our processing is then lumped onto the anomaly in order to process and to figure out what we are seeing.

As a classic social example; if you're wearing a fluorescent shirt or carrying a clipboard you can go nearly anywhere in any building and nobody will think twice or even really notice you, even security. This is because they expect to see this scenario in this setting.  You may have a bomb or rifle in your backpack, and nobody would even suspect it.

I think some people see UFO's and others don't, because the one's that don't aren't looking for them or expecting to see them. UFO's being most often "just another light in the sky" that blends with the scenary, doesn't really jolt our visual processing. People simply don't direct their attention to them unless UFO's and the expectation of seeing them forms part of their active consciousness.

As Angela mentioned above, Ley lines also play a role in the frequency of UFO / "other world" experiences, but in general I think the above explanation fits too.

"Seek and you shall find" Seems like an apt quote here :)

That's my take on it.. I hope it makes sense.
