The Rocks Australia Ghost Tours
« on: November 26, 2009, 10:11:33 PM »

Over fifty years ago the seed for the Ghost Tours of The Rocks was sewn. Ghost Host Brian listened to many stories about local murders, suicides, unusual happenings and ghost stories told to him by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles who all ran local boarding houses in The Rocks.

His wife, Ghost Host Colleen, has a passion for history and is a natural story teller. She is a descendent of convict Sophia Lett.

Both Brian and Colleen are long term residents, and the launching of their ghost tours is a culmination of much research (many stories collected from locals have also been recorded on audio tapes).

Their company, Spirit of Sydney, has a long history of conducting tours. Eighteen years ago they started audio tours for school students studying History.

Adult tours
The cost is $38 per adult and tours run 7 evenings a week.

Modified tours for 13yrs - 17 yrs old
The cost is $29 per person for groups of 16 or more people. We do not operate this tour on Saturday nights.

Gee that would be an interesting tour - even if you didn't see/feel a ghost.

Jo.

Hi Jo,
I was thinking the same.. It would be an interesting way for high school groups to learn some of the history of the area.. I know I would remember if I went when I was a teenager. lol

I wanna go!!
I remember when I was younger, going on a 'Old Sydney Town' excursion.
We all dressed up as convicts :P
They closed old sydney town.
But this would be fun (even if you don't get to dress up as a convict ;))

Friends of mine did the Ghost Tour the day before we went to the James Van Praagh event in Sydney. They said it was awesome as far as history and they were glad to say the tour prople did not go on with lots of 'scarey rubbish' that turned us off on another ghost tour we did last year.
As far as doing this tour and hearing the stories of those that are ghost now, they said it was interesting and both those girls are from my group here and are good Mediums but only felt and saw one ghost the rest was just very interesting as you get to go to places that the normal public may not get to find. They gave it a big thumbs up, rainbows, JanelleBHR
